Where it all began…

Boulder Junction Sugar Bush started its operation in 2020 in Vilas County just north of Boulder Junction.  2020 was a year that we all had a little more time on our hands and were placed under house arrest.  Anyone that knows the Boulder Junction Sugar Bush crew knows that we can’t sit still and that we were going to make the most out of this strange opportunity.

Our Crew

Matt & Mindy

Matt and Mindy are an avid outdoors couple with a Yellow Lab named Atlas.  If you have stopped by a craft show, or Mindy’s office in Downtown Boulder Junction you have probably met the Sugar Bush’s new support dog.   Matt and Mindy enjoy fly fishing anywhere and any place, biking around Northern Wisconsin, and a good construction project from time to time.  They are also both very active in their professional careers in accounting and engineering, which cross over well when it comes to running a Maple Syrup operation.   Matt and Mindy split their time between Boulder Junction and Wausau Wi.

Andy Amelia Ava & Aiden

Andy (Mindy’s Cousin) and Amelia also own property close to the Sugar Bush and spend time in Northern Wisconsin helping at the maple syrup operation, especially at the height of the production season.  In the off season they spend much of their time in Waukesha Wisconsin with their two children Ava and Aiden.  Andy is also in the engineering field and utilizes his knowledge to make the Sugar Bush function, while Amelia is in the medical profession and always preaches safety first.
